Default weathertech window wind breakers

Recently purchased a pair of these for 2006 CT. Had trouble getting to fit tight and the windows hit them in the rear when I raise the window. They come with a small clip to put on the front end and stuff down into the window. I had trouble and lost both clips in the inside of the door(bad instructions or dumb installer). I did get the clips replaced by weathertech but the fit is not tight. Anyone have an answer on how to make them snug or will they eventuall nestle in for a good fit?

I sorta question the need/desire for them. If you're a smoker I guess they allow you to crack the window to let the smoke out - other then that IMHO they're a useless piece of bling usually seen on Ford Exploders.. (NTTAWWT, someone has to drive Ford Exploders so we feel good about the Cayenne..)
