2009 GTS - parking lights as DRL's?

Well I tried as directed above and it still is a no go. By that I mean, the headlights go on as well. I tried the adjustments with the pig running and also with it off. Any other ideas out there? Maybe it just can't be done. Thanks for all the suggestions......GR

I am also interested in the functionality that the OP is seeking: LEDs on but headlights off. I have tried going through the menu in a 2009 CTTS and no luck either.
In my opinion, having the main xenon headlights on full brightness for DRLs looks a bit dorky. So back to OP's original question, can dealer/durametric programming achieve the desired look?

I've got a 2009.
I'm bringing this thread back up - I really like the look of the LED strips under the headlights now being used as DLR's.
I've read numerous threads about this but none have had pics or detailed instructions on how to get this look.
One of the problems as I see it is that the turn signals are too close to that area - today's systems turn off the DRL's when the turn signal is activated on that side.
Alternatively, if that can't be achieved, has anyone had success in just having the parking light in the front on without the low beam?

Yes - just switch your light switch one over to the right from the middle setting and your parking lights will be on. On your car, that would be the LED lights in the front and the rear lights.

Was it concluded that 2009 model parking lights can be activated as DRLs independently, without also running the headlamps? If so, what was the method for doing this? As stated by others here, I’ve also tried by following the owner’s manual but the result was headlights working in tandem as DRLs… and running those babies all the time will haze your plastic lenses.

I installed LED bulb for the front marker in my Gen 1 Cayenne. I don't have the "Lights" menu item in the multi-purpose display. Is there any way to have it turn on automatically when the car is started?

drls
hey Guys - i spent alot of time on this. Dealer can disable drls which includes all your lights. They can't just make the marker lights drls, when you deactivate drls you will have no lights when you start your car, when you turn your light switch all lights will come on similar to how they were as drls...headlights / markers / plates / talights.
i deactivated my drls and then installed the Phillips LEDs as my drls. i have a picture but have no idea how to post a picture on this post.

I also have a 2009 GTS, and, one of the replies is correct...just turn the light switch to the middle of the three positions. Your running lights will show as a separate led strip inside the housing of the turn signal light bars!
This is how they look.
