EW-- I had the same problem. Mine car w/free 3 month subscription, but I called to upgrade to 3 year, plus best of Sirius and Traffic on 'day 1'. 3 months later it goes out. I called and they said that it was programmed to shut off after 3 months free trial. I had to explain I bought the 3 year, which they already charged me for. It took me several phone calls and about 2 hours of time on the phone with them to straighten it out. Only advice I can give is when you call XM ask for a supervisor right away. (Also, you may want to try the website and restart it that way. I've heard from others it is easier and faster than dealing with them in person.)

Romey, that's got to be it! Yesterday was exactly 3 months since we picked it up. Oh, how I don't want to spend two hours on the phone with those ***-hats

I did it on my way to CT.
PS-- Make sure they are clear on the fact that you want best of Sirius. I had to have them do it twice because when they re-activitated, no Sirius.

Me too... They called a couple weeks ago asking if I want to renew my subscription because it's going to expire. I told them I had 3 year... They looked it up and said "Oh yeah... I don't know why I'm calling you..." WTF. Their customer service is the worst.

Had the same issue of radio losing authorization for channels during transition from trial to paid subscription. Even though I had already paid, the channels went away at the end of the trial. I called for refresh and refreshed from online. Channels would work temporarily until I put the car in the garage overnight. Next morning channels gone again. Went through this sequence two days. Did not have hardware issue. Took three calls to get the subscription straight and then have car out long enough to fully receive refresh signal (along with good line of sight to satellite).

Subscription disappeared on Wednesday. I hoped it'd reset itself overnight, but no.
New feature (I think) when calling XM is arranging for the signal to be sent automatically. Talking to their technical "support" is like pulling teeth!!!
Update: they're back

XM/Sirius radio refresh
You can always go to this site and do the refresh yourself.
Hope this helps,
Randy

Send a Radio Activation Signal
Please turn your radio on with the antenna facing skyward and tune to channel 184 for Sirius or channel 1 for XM. (If your radio is in a vehicle, please make sure it isn''t in a garage.) Once you're ready, press the button below and service should be activated within 5 minutes. If your radio isn''t working after that time, you can resend the signal.
Required
Radio ID (ESN or SID)
Help me find my Radio ID
For XM Radios
You can display your Radio ID by tuning your radio to channel 0, one down from XM Preview. Please check your ID code carefully. The letters "I", "O", "S", and "F" are not used.

For Sirius Radios
There are a couple ways to find your Radio ID (also called an ESN or SID). For many radios you can simply tune to channel 0 and the Radio ID will be displayed. If it doesn't appear, your Radio ID may also be found by accessing the Menu function of your radio (you can refer to your owner's manual for specific instructions). Still can't find it?
