Yes, bank 2 is the left (driver's) side.

Lets say the CEL light doesn't come back on, is it safe to drive it or i risk more damage?
The SAI just adds air to the exhaust to help the catalytic convertor burn the excess fuel from a cold start. If it is not working will in no way harm your engine to drive it.

I get the code once a month for the past 6 or 7 months, just keep driving, isn't going to hurt anything.

i took it to local porsche indy who says the filter in front of pump can become brittle, break off, then break the pump impellar as it is sucked through...apparently was common with the filters porsche was using in the 2000s.

he told me keep driving and watch for one on ebay at a cheap price and bring it back if the CEL bothered me that much.

I had to change out of of the connectors, but that was it...

took about 40 minutes each side...

Here is the link where I found the info on this: https://rennlist.com/forums/porsche-...ternative.html

Default Secondary air pump

Here's the inside of a secondary air pump. It also blew a 40 amp fuse. The hose was clogged with all these bits. I put a new one in two weeks ago and I just got the same fault code. I haven't dug into it yet but I suspect the air pump came from china. Enough said.

Remove the black plastic front cover of the pump. It is held on by a single screw. Remove the screw and you will see a foam filter, remove the filter.

Do you mind giving more details on what leaking pipe and the repair necessary. I too have the code in conjunction with rough transmission shifts
