Default 2012 Cayenne

What's new/included in the new price if any, and how much is the base price going up?

I ordered mine today, and the price increase was $500. Colors supposedly will remain the same. None of the packages I ordered changed. No new features were reportedly available per my sales person. Non-smoker package is now standard, and the Smoker option is extra.

That's not happening anytime soon is it? I've scoured the net looking for info on a US 2012 TDI.

Is anyone shopping around and different models like the Q7 before making the jump.

I do like the Q7 TDI option.

I looked at the Audi Q5. Really a different price point, but not even close on quality.

Test drove the X5 50i (400 hp); super-fast and great acceleration, just not a fan of the BMW interiors. Fully optioned out, however, it is about $5K cheaper than the CS.

Test drove the A7; it is really nice and a consideration for me, but obviously more comparable to the Panamera, though much less expensive.

The new Toureg has the same re-design elements as the Cayenne. ....Lots of aluminum, same basic body as the Porsche and is available with a Diesel. The Q7 is based on the old platform.

The Q7 is a nice vehicle but IMO drives like a slug compared to a Cayenne.

Thanks for the feedback. I know it's tough to beat the Cayenne even with cars built on the same platform. I do like the Q5 but that is close to the tiguan and I need a little more space. And I didn't realize the Q7 was based on the old platform. It would still be new to me since I have an '05 CS.

Funny no one mentioned Range Rover....

Another option would be the Land Cruiser. But I don't think the performance is there. Maybe offroad, but nothing like the Cayenne. Plenty of room too.

that is amazing! I am now driving an X5 diesel that gets 26 mpg and I thought that was good, but 32.7...wow! I was hoping they would bring this one to the us. Either way, in 2 years, I'll probably be in a Cayenne of some version. If not the diesel, the V6. Does Porsche now build the V6 engine or is it a VW variant?
