Default Rear Cargo Net

I used my 20% off Spring Fling Coupon to buy a few things for our 06 CS. One item was a rear cargo net.

The cargo net came in two parts: one was the net itself which obviously hooks into the buckles on the floor of the rear hatch. The other was a u-shaped plastic part with a net; looks almost like a lacrosse stick net but not right shape.

What's this thing for???

TIA

You're expected to drill holes in the right-side wall panel ahead of the the access panel and screw it fast.

It has such a small capacity, I didn't bother.

should be holes in ceiling and it clips into them to make the net go to ceiling.. for animals/luggage from coming forward.

my 11 has the holes, i assume previous years do as well?

Re: the small U shaped net, you don't need to actually drill, the screws go through the side material very easily... but you're right, it's pretty small and won't hold much.

oh ok, i see the U shaped piece on the side.. i have one in my lotus behind seat. its odd but fits my registration papers perfectly high and dry and secure (no other storage in vehicle)

i was thinking the divider net to divide luggage area from back seat.
