Default Squeeky noise coming from or near glove compartment

Anyone have problems with a squeeky noise coming from the glove compartment area on the passenger side? Definitely something mechanical because I can hear it when stopped at a light.

It might be something with the AC....seems to have gotten worse now that temps are back up in the 80's-90's here in Phoenix.

Yep, I have the same issue on my '05. The HVAC fan seems to be the culprit. All I have to do is turn it up or down and it goes away. Definitely more noticeable in warmer weather.

I haven't even checked to see what effort is involved with replacement.

My understanding is that the replacement of this fan isn't a really big deal. I don't think it's too difficult or too expensive (relatively speaking, of course).

Everything is relative

Compared to an engine transplant, this is a simple task.

It hasn't bothered me enough to look into it but I may have to do it this summer.

Depending on the fan's orientation, it may be easy........ I'd hate to the heater core....

The blower motor is located underneath the glove box and squeaks when it starts to go bad. Cost is $125ish(?), and takes 5 minutes to switch out.

Thanks guys.

The footwell blowers in my '89 911 do the same thing. You would think Porsche could get the HVAC thing figured out after umpteen years of squeaky blowers.

Be a bit careful with the mobile app - it is very battery and bandwidth thirsty if you are on a limited bandwidth plan. Make sure you actually quit/close the app rather than leaving it in the background. Also the click through ads are a bit of a pain (if you manage to hit one accidentally), and I understand they can end up enrolling you in push SMS services at quite some cost.
