My build date was 9 Feb so I hope most, no all of this was taken care of at the factory.. Does not leave one with a warm feeling for a car of this price AND waiting so long for.

Thanks for that; had it happen a couple of times. I passed 4000 miles today and am going to bring it in for an oil change at 5000, so I'll tell the dealer to do any updates.

911Slow - thanks for the posts

My PIG is probably being built now,for an April7th factory pick-up
Reading this thread has been a buzzkill and has left me with a not pleasant feeling about the longterm prospects of my porker
Depressing and makes me wonder how long its gonna take them to get it right...

Call me brainwashed, but I don't mind these campaigns - I'd like to think that Porsche is finding better ways to make these cars and proactively addressing them on cars already sold. In some cases, these are defects (or potential defects) that Porsche is correcting and in other cases, these are preventative measures or improvements.

I get that the early pig had problems, but my 2008 ran perfectly for the 18 months that I had it and so far, there is nothing major that is bothering me on the 2011.

In fact, in my brief 12-year history of owning Porsches (mostly cars that were out of warranty), I have only had one situation where I had to address and pay for something that was not a maintenance issue (pinion bearing in a 968 and I was even able to get Porsche to pay for some of that).

I do believe that the modern Porsches are not made as robustly as the older ones (ending with the 993), but I still think that Porsche makes one hell of a car.

Thanks OPP,your experience with all your Pcars is reassuring...says a lot when you have owned so many of them out of warranty
I am mechanically challenged, but with the help of the many experienced drivers on these forums and with proper care and attention I will hopefully be able to enjoy my flying pig (interesting idea for a vanity plate ) for many years to come...

I agree with your positive attitude. With any new car, the owners are the final quality control. It is not so much the TSB's, but is how Porsche or any business responds after an error or defect.

As we well know, all cars have some (perhaps unnecessary) issues for high end cars), including the hand built ones back in the air cooled days.

That said, just hope mine that will be built end of the month is perfect. but seriously we cannot be a maximizer. It is all mechanical.

why? i think these little TSB items are only a positive thing, showing that they are on top of everything and checking any faults..... besides the axles, nothing seems extreme.

^I agree! besides these are nothing, compared to the TIs of the original Cayenne..

In the first six months it had about 124..

And if we could somehow communicate with Larry, I think that he would agree..

Trying to find out what TSB's and other work bulletins exist...

I heard there was a brake bulletin that applied to all 2011's that were built before 11/10 that could replace the pads/rotors. Does anyone know where to find more info on that??
