Default Wobbly Steering

Need some help- I have an 06 S and from 65 + the steering wheel has a shimmy that is driving me nuts. It's only the last 3000 or so miles before then perfect. It's so bad it puts my hands to sleep. Had the tires rotated and balanced 3 times to no avail. Brakes checked while they were in there. Any other ideas.
Thanks
Caesar

Sounds like a flat spot on one or both of the front tires or maybe bent rim? When you had them balanced did they check runoff? Was the truck sitting for a long time in one place recently?
Any chance you have another set of wheels/tires you can swap out to try?

I can put my OEM's on-They have been sitting for a while though. Tried rotating them to see if there was a wheel issue but to no avail.

If you're running aftermarket "Made in China" rims, this can sometimes be expected. You should have a hubcentric ring that fits onto the inside raceway of each wheel. The plastic rings sometimes crack or get lost when swapping out rims. If this is the case, get yourself the aluminum units that press fit into the wheels to avoid going through this exercise every time you mount them on your truck.
