Not to belabor the point, but if you have ever played with legos, you can do this "wiring." Slightly harder than plugging in an iPod. And you have to do at least half because it's connected to the new tow-hitch-bumper you would install.

So I ended up buying mine off a CraigsList ad, but halfway across the country. $100 for the whole kit in original box, and maybe $50 shipping. Harness had a cracked connector, but I tried it anyway and didn't feel bad having to buy another one.
But I could have sworn I've seen guys on some other threads somewhere wishing they didn't have theirs (!). As in, if you'll switch with me, I'll give you my tow-bumper-outfit for your non-tow-bumper. I would post WTB entries and see if anyone bites. Salvage yards are also good bets.
