Default Thule Ski Rack

Has anyone mounted one to the 2011 Cayenne roof carrying system?

I am about to, and I'm wondering if there is anything (tips) I need to know.

(BTW, the one they sold me, which they said is compatable, does not include the Cayenne on the list of vehicles which came inside the package...) The model I have is the Universal Pull Top #91726.

TIA

I'm actually about to order one from REI for my 2004. They have a configuration tool, but I think it might link directly to the Thule website. You might give it a try, just in case.

I got the porsche cross bars and porsche ski rack, If you have the cross bars why didnt you get the Porsche rack? even the big one that carries 6 pairs of skis and 2 boards is cheaper than the Thule. The porsche ski rack slides into the cross bars groove, very easy to install.

Porsche rack was not available and was told that it is actually manufactured by Thule, so hoping it was going to be identical. The Thule one actually clamps on, as opposed to sliding into the grooves.

I am planning to try the Yakima Q Towers (for what they call the naked roof), but Yakima says they haven't determined which Q clip model numbers to use. Anyone tried this?
