can a cpo warranty be applied on the car from a porsche dealer? in other words, will a dealer inspect the car and sell a cpo warranty even tho it was a private party transaction. car is currently out of warranty but has 39k miles on it. 2005 cayenne s.

Never say never....

There are still stories floating around about dealers who will "buy" your car, CPO it, and then "sell" it back to you for the same price (plus inspection, CPO, and tax). However, to me it doesn't seem worth the trouble and expense.

 

I've done it.. but i used the dealer to do the title transfer... but 2005 is too old to cerfity..

 

I bought my 996t this way, pp sold it to the dealer and I purchased it from them with the cpo. worth the piece of mind for the right car in my opinion.
