No, Cayenne owners are not more conservative, Cayenne's, aka P!g, need more repairs more often.

Ask what the "!" in P!g stands for...

Good luck to you...FORE

This guy seems to have something to say about the Porsche CPO Warranty.

Good read...being the proud owner of a often needing repair CPO P!g, I will admit that the Porsche CPO coverage is excellent. I've only been turned down for light bulbs. Not only that, most good Porsche dealers will continue to treat you like a new car customer with free rentals, detailing, etc. ZERO complaints about CPO coverage and trust me when I say I've received my money's worth...

I too cannot complain with the service I received with the CPO warranty on my CT.

I have had all the known issues rectified via the warranty with these replacement parts (Coolant pipes, water pump, coils, cardan shaft, Pcm, dripping rear window washer, air con servos, tailgate struts, Kessy control unit, Xenon bulb replacement, fuel tank vent valve, transmission control unit, brake booster vent line, check valve for oil leak around left turbo etc.).

All the negatives you read about seem to be from dealers who do not honour the warranty for some reason.

Get the CPO. I'm already up to over $10k in works (I've been tough on some items so they covered them...) and that is only within the past 4 months and 12k miles...

Re: the $2,000 going fast - I think everyone on here has probably run into something each year that was a doozie. So you're getting a cut-rate deal on a warranty that will let you sleep well at night, while the rest of us don't. If I could pay $3K right now to CPO mine for another 2 years/50K miles, I would.

The vehicle is awesome...but requires a bit of care and feeding. Loves to consume premium gas, tires, oil (through the turbos usually), hair from your head, dollars from your wallet, and as LTC points out, years from your retirement. On the other hand, there are Honda minivans.
Dont forget brakes..........1500 a pop plus at the dealer ........sign up with suncoast, get some jack stands, a torx set and you're officailly ready to go!

Thanks for all the comments. I pulled the trigger and will pick up the beast on Monday. BTW, I took the collective advice from the forum and added the CPO warranty. That will cover me until May 2013.

Okay - you owe it to all of us to update this thread every time you take it in for any repair work over the next two years. Complete with running tally!

Cool Porsche CPO a great deal!

I paid $3K for mine (6 yrs or 100K mile extended warranty)!

I drive a lot and this is a better deal than Factory Warranty IMHO!

Good Luck!

Sounds like a Hybrid but.......you should be under warranty if you are new?

If you bought a used pig.....I would have opted for financiers extended power train warranty.
