Lower Front Control Arm bushings
Has anyone replaced the lower front control arm bushings? I hate to replace the whole control arm but I haven't found anywhere online to purchase just the bushings. Not only can I not find the just the bushings but no Poly as well?

The only place I have found the bushings is at the dealer. They say you will need a press to get them in.
Price of the bushings per side was like $100 so for an extra $100-ish, you get the new arms and less hassle.

Thanks. The garage is getting finished right now. Fully insulated, drywall, etc. Should be a nice space when done.
The jack stands are just under the front frame rail. I just let the jack down until it was resting on the stand and then leave the jack there too.
Not a great pic, but you should get the point.
I looked at doing just the bushings and decided it would be easier and eventually more cost effective to just swap the arms. The ball joint boot and ball joint takes a serious beating when you take it off. (which you would need to do to press in the new bushings). With the new arm you get both bushings and a new ball joint. (and the arm of course).
Around here there are some enterprising guys that drive around on trash day looking for anything metal that they can take to the scrap yard for cash. I make sure to set all my old parts out separate from the trash so that these guys can make a buck and the parts get recycled. IMO, it's better than giving change to the slackers on the street corner. At least these guys have figured out how to "work" for it.
BTW, here is another angle of the garage before the work we are doing. Maybe when it is done I will post a follow up.

Great info, thanks. The pic is perfect - I always run into issues with where to place the jackstands vs. the actual jack it seems.
That's a lot of P-cars in one garage, isn't it...? Must be Highlands Ranch...!
