Default Durametric Hacking and other cars codes? Please post if you have them!

So I started playing again with the version 6 beta of the software and did one of my first mods. Anything I did here was at my own risk and don't do this if you feel uncomfortable or worry about damaging the car. Some of these changes may be illegal in some countries too, so don't blame me!

I am hoping others can post some of their coding along with country of car and options so we can figure out some of these things.

Went into the instrument cluster, clicked coding and change the country code from US to UK.

Then by hand went back to change my units from C to F and UK Gal to US Gal, already had my clock on 24 hours, and tire was BAR, didn't care as I do not have TPMS.

This gets rid of my annoying drive door is ajar and key is in the ignition.

I was hoping this would get rid of my navigation acceptance screen, but it doesn't. Unless a different country does? This basically seems to set the defaults for most of the MFD and also disables some things that are required by countries (Such as the US drivers door chime and key in ignition?)

The first 2 digits on mine were 15 (the list said +0 for no option, +1 for low wiper I think, +2 for seatbelt warning, and another +3 for something else and +16 for navigation enabled) I subtracted 2 and that got rid of the seatbelt warning on the MFD and the red light.

Also, I went into the Electrical System, then adaptation, then step 2 to change the 3 to a 5, for some reason I can not get it to accept, maybe because the software is beta? (Update at page 8 of thread, I used VAG-COM on module 9 on a 957)

This would change the slight touch of the turn signal stalk from 3 flashes to 5 when changing lanes, which I had on my other car and love.

Anyone know why this wont take?

I will post my coding and the relevant modules later for my car as well as the options I have, hopefully we can build a list, unless someone has done this already.

Thanks!

I think abusive language, people trying to sell products without proper authorization etc are biggest offenders............but this site still has some blessings of Porsche North America.........last thing you want to see is "banned" over your status.....

I have the enthusiast cable and using the lastest 6.x software. Since it is still beta I expect some wonkiness. But I can read most of the codes for the modules support by the car.

Going to give the instrument recode a shot, door buzzer and gong drive me nuts. I don't need to be reminded to put a seatbelt on.
Good thread, thanks for posting.

Just to clarify from my first post:
Intstrument Cluster:
15404 (I changed the 15604 to 15404 from US to UK -2 from the 1st 2 positions, removes Seatbelt light on cluster as well as MFD warning i.e. 13404 would be the new one for me.)

Cool post...thanks touareg! I have the professional version as well as the new BETA download (which I ned to update) and as a new (to me) Cayenne owner, I've been meaning to plug in and see what I can see, but haven't had the time to do so yet. This thread has inspired me, especially for the door and seatbelt gongs as Marc points out.

So looking at the VW Touareg coding for the electrical system, this adds up real close to what I have for my coding and options on my car, the existing description makes no sense, would be nice to figure out for sure what the number and option is:

THE OPTIONS LISTED BELOW ARE FOR THE TOUAREG
[Select]
[09-Cent. Elect.]
[Recode - 07]
Write down the existing coding for future reference.
Enter the new code from below
[Do It!]

Look at the existing 7-digit Soft. Coding. If you do not have DRL in the MFI menu, your coding should be an odd number. To put the DRL into the MFI menu as an option, subtract 1 from the coding.

Example: So, if you do not DRL in the MFI menu and your existing coding is 0105695, subtract one to make it 0105694 To put the DRL into the MFI menu as an option.
State Hex Bit Decimal Function
ON 0 1 DRL Control Blocked in MFI
ON 1 2 Halogen High Beams
(Xenon Low Beams off when High Beams on)
ON 2 4 Interior Lighting Enabled
ON 3 8 Rain & Light Sensors Enabled
ON 4 16 Coming Home Lights Enabled
OFF 5 32 Rear Fog Enabled
ON 6 64 Front Fogs Enabled
ON 7 128 Xenon Lighting Enabled
OFF 8 256 Marker Lights Enabled
OFF 9 512 Unknown Function
ON 10 1024 Headlight Washers Enabled
ON 11 2048 Electric Fuel Pump Relay Block
(Gasoline Engines Only)
ON 12 4096 Wake-up function Enabled
OFF 13 8192 Second Battery Enabled
OFF 14 16384 Auxilliary Battery Enabled
ON 15 32768 Low Seatheating Enabled
(Memory Seats Only)
ON 16 65536 Electronic Load Management Enabled
OFF 17 131072 Rear Fog Disabled when in
Off-Road Suspension Setting

On our 2004 Touareg V8, we had the following options enabled from the factory:

65536 + 32768 + 4096 + 2048 + 1024 + 128 + 64 + 16 + 8 + 4 + 2 + 1 = 0105695

To add or remove a function, add or subtract the Decimal value for that option.

I assume you mean the coming home lights option, which means if you have the auto headlights, and you shut off the car, you will have x seconds until it shuts off.

Assuming it is not hardware that is needed, and is just a software setting, you can enable it. Yes, usually the coding is dependant on the position within the code, but in the case of the central electric module, it is the sum of all the decimal numbers. However I dont have all those sum numbers, only the ones from touareg, if I add them all up to what I have, it is off 1 number.

"Electrical System:
Coding 69630"
and how do i do if so when it says:

?xxxx: Coming-home function

+1 = Present
+0 = Not present
does this mean 79630?

when i open my durametric/electric system/code it is writen like 212021 in the dialog window.. why is that?

many questions sorry /Tommy
