Valentine one in 2011 Cayenne
So I have a valentine one that I have been using for about a year now, and in my other cars which had ACC I never had a problem, but it might be it because others say ACC can give false signals to radars. So I get a False signal now and again from the back of my cayenne, it usually gets stronger the more I press the gas pedal down. So I just want to know what it might be, if any new Cayenne owners have a radar and get this false alarm, I would like to know what your inputs are. Or if anyone would know just by speculation. Now it might also be in older Cayennes, but I have no clue, as I have not driven an older model with the radar( only test drove the 2010 Cayenne S before we knew about the 2011 models).

i have a new 2011. My venerable V1 falses with a beep perhaps every few secs. sometimes it stops for minutes, then resumes.
i do NOT have acc. but i do have LCA (lane change assistant); but, it falses with LCA turned off.
so i don't know the source. V1 says it's behind me.
wonder if Panamera owners have the same issue?
suggestions?

valentine are aware of this. they say 'some' people have had success with reprogramming "POP" and i will try that, and report back. if this doesn't work, they have no fix presently.
ps, it's the LCA that's causing it. it seems LCA transmits even when disabled.

Just wondering what an oncoming V1 picks up from the source LCA?

i have disabled "pop" and it seems to work. with lca on (or off) there is no repetitive falsing any longer.
i have asked valentine what the give up is; that is, what am i losing with Pop disabled.

Hardwiring a Cayenne is pretty much MY independent.
Typically you pick up switched 12V by running a wire across the headliner and down the A pillar to a fuse block tap; or you can pick up switched 12V in the overhead console.
Another option to explore would be to use an InvisiCord to pickup switched 12V at the back of a auto dimming mirror...that would take 30 seconds to install.
Combine with a Blendmount for a V1 and you're done in 5 minutes start to finish.

I don't believe the 11 cayenne interferes with the V1 once reprogrammed.
