They are not compatible, that seems clear. I think that my investment in Thule products is driving me toward just getting the proper feet and square bars for this CTT instead of embracing the Porsche factory solution.

True. I was just saying that either look I liked, so was a toss up when I shopped for mine. I thought the pano, no-rail, looked more like a wagon, and the rails looked more SUV'ish. Again, both looked good in it's own way. Enjoy.
FYI, I went with the M0bridge for Bluetooth and ipod. Cartronics was a dealer and local and handled the install.

I am making my CPO repair list up and will be introducing the CTT to the local dealer. So far the list has:
Rough idle - coils?
Rear hatch does not open fully without assistance - lifting cylinders?
Exhaust tip clamps cracked - did a creeper inspection to find these
Any other suggestions?

02/07 Coils (but I think there are some gone bad again)
05/07 Rear Camera
01/09 Cardan Shaft (PM move courtesy of dealer)
08/10 Coolant Pipes (PM move, done as a condition of sale)
Some other work done of course, the usual services (20K, 30K, 40K, 60K) and F/R pads and sensors on 08/10 just before I picked it up.
Plenty of time and miles left to handle my list of CPO items:
Coils (idle is a bit rough)
Rear Hatch Lifters
Muffler Tip clamps are cracked (expecting a mild protest on that one)

Coils again. Not surprising, depending on what revision (out of 7?) they used last time. Also, you should definitely change the plugs when you change a (cracked) coil.
Rear hatch ED problem? Time for mechanical Viagra (new struts). Bit of a PITA to install, but again, has been discussed here before.
Assuming you have a trailer hitch, you might consider something like this in place of dealing with the Pano roof / rails issue

All the items above are going to be submitted to the dealer under CPO, we shall see how it goes. I will have them program the hitch and compass module (adding that once it shows up) so one visit should cover me for 2010
