Default Rear hatch erection problem, LOL

Does anybody know if there are any replaceable parts on the rear hatch that will make it raise better? My hatch has erection problem to the fullest and has problem keeping its erection. Are there any serviceable parts on the inside of the hinges? Springs? Hydraulic items?

Mine have been replaced twice (thankfully under warranty). I recall the service advisor telling me that tehre are actually two sets of "struts". First time they tried to replace just one set and the "fix" only lasted about six months. The second time they replaced both and it has been fine for about 18 months.

Mine have been replaced three times in four years - I believe that one strut on each side was replaced each time.

Does the hatch have more than two struts?

There are 4 struts in total in the rear hatch assembly. There are two struts referred to as "Damper for rear lid" for the actual hatch (955-512-550-06) and there are also two struts referred to as "Damper for rear window" (955-512-528-00) . I was told that the rear window struts actually assist the two rear lid struts so if the window ones are weak they imapct the ability of the lid stuts to fully open and hold the hatch.

Cayenne Tailgate Trivia: Did you also know that you can pre-program your tailgate to open to a pre-determined position via the tailgate-mtd push button?
