If you crank it up with Led Zeppelin, the rear-view mirror should shake with each bass note.

It's not really a subwoofer, it's more of a ported bass enclosure driven by 5.25" drivers.
There is a 100W switching amplifier that drives the 1ohm load presented by the transducers.
And no, it's not very good. If it died, you probably wouldn't notice it missing.

You won't get that "A$$ Kicking Bass" as some folks might expect - but it does add the lower register nicely to compliment the main speakers...

Open the back hatch near the spare tire and play some music and with bass set in the positive you will feel it....

Would be better if ported directly into the vehicle but.....

Amazing the difference between the BOSE system I had in my Cayenne S and the Dynaudio system in the T-Rex....

Is the Cayenne's sub standard with the Bose system as in my 996?
Where the hell is it located?

It is in my 997 - I'm pretty sure the same applies to the second generation 996's....

OT, but I just picked up a new daily driver, 2010 Golf TDI (fantastic little engine with DSG BTW) and the Dynaudio isn't that bad....didn't want it, but it was on the car so I ended up with it.
