More info please! The difference in handling or difference in negative ride quality?

I for one, upgraded from 18s to Sport Techno 20s....and the ride is definitely more bumpy than before. I don't have PASM either, so that might make a difference.

Handling and ride is almost the same. A little bumpier but not much. I do have PASM though. The height of the Cayenne is much taller now. Overall I am very happy with going from 18's to 22's. I did buy an extra can of tire sealant since I can't use the spare anymore.

Why did VW get the turn signal indicators on their door mirrors and the Cayennes didn't?!?!?! Or was this an option for Cayennes?

Your choice, however I'd consider the following:

- GTS has 21" wheels and it looks good so size wise I think its fts the car
- I'd be concerned about hitting pot holes and bending 22"s
- I'd also be concerned about curbing 22"s

From a purely practical perspective, I'd stay with 20"s or 21"s.

Fwiw, I like my 22" wheels. They ride and handle great. I think the air suspension makes the difference.

Also have 18s for snow.

For my last Cayenne Turbo (04) I bought a new set of 22" Techart Formulas. I was so excited the day they arrived from CEC (April 05 as I recall) and my dealer installed them. On the way home I picked up a pizza for the kids and just before I turned into my neigbourhood I drove at about 70 kph over what was a shallow street cut for a water service running across the road. I'll never forget the feeling in my stomach when the car started to shake rather violently. Turns out 3 of the 4 rims were bent so CEC was kind enough to give me nothing for the three and credit for 1 against 4 new 20" rims which I bought in place of the bent one. The 20" rims I rode for three years with no issue.

I have had no issue with my Overfinch 22" on my Range Rover - they seem really tough but run the OEM 20" rims on snows in the winter. Ordered 21" on my new CTT coming and will order 4 20" rims again (with snows) for the winter here. Speaking to Wheel Enhancement now about that.

My experience anyway - 22" on a Porsche is a little too big for my taste.

Just noticed the thread starter was looking at similar rims as the ones I got today. I went with 265/35/22, and I think they fit really nicely. I've only driven it for a few hours, and sure it's a bit bumpier than the stock wheel, but not bad. Here are some pics:

Make double sure to keep the tire pressures up... dont wanna bend any of thoses babies.... I just have Base 08 18's wheels with Hankook Dynatrac's ( BFG A/T's didnt have the right size) just so if I Rock Rash a wheel out wheeling I will not cry that damage a $$$$ wheel
When I got my CTT it had 22's that were ok, the ride was a TON stiffer than with the wheels that are on it now. Az is not known for having good roads here...

I had a 2008 GTS which comes with 21 inch rims and if I order a 2011 Cayenne S it will have 19" rims. 21 and great offer no tire sidewall for everyday driving hazards. They may look cool but the ride is harsh and as said there is no tire sidewall to navigate normal road hazards. My .02 cents worth.

22's will look good so long as you get the right 22's. I disagree that they look cartoonish or unclassy - that is of course as long as you don't put chrome wheels on or some generic wheels from a manufacturer that makes wheels for ever make and model.

I am with F4, my 19's are my "show" rims, and I also have 19's for snow rims.

I liked the OE 21" 's, but I'm happier with 18" 's. Plus the 21" 's look great in the office.

Yeah, this is so "tasteless."

70,000 miles on these. Ride is fine. Got 40,000 miles on first set of Diamaris. But, you WILL scrape the edges at some point. I also have an OEM set of 20" Sport Design and prefer the TAs.
