Default Are Cayennes more rigid than 996 TTs?

I don't mean to start a war but owning both I notice my 2001 TT which is few K miles younger than the 2005 CS has more body squeaks, moans and groans in daily driving...i am curious, what is the experience of other members who have both vehicles?

Is it because Cayennes have thicker insulation and not necessarily more rigid?

or...?

TIA.
Sam

Here's a pic of an '08 GTS offroading with stock 21" rims. Based on this picture and on a scale from 1 to 10, I would rate body flex around 1.

My DD is a 996 C4S as opposed to a TT, but I would agree with you. The C4S has more rattles and squeaks than our Cayenne S. I'm not sure if this means it isn't as rigid in the body, but my experience has been similar to yours.

I don't have a 996, but at almost 108k miles my old P!G certainly doesn't moan & groan in displeasure while driven daily. So no, P!G not frigid

108K already? Wow... you're definitely in the high mileage category now. My 2004 only has 63K on the clock!

I thought about this post a little more as I drove to the airport this morning. I think the only major noise that my 996 makes comes from the sunroof. It has been to the dealer multiple times to fix this issue, but it always comes back. Other than that, it doesn't really make any body noises. I certainly hear the tires on the road much more in the 996, and the engine noises are certainly louder - but I like that one!

The noise in my car is usually from the instrument/dash area and doors and sometimes from the front end of the car. I have looked for any loose items but none found so far. The only abnormal finding is two nuts/bolts missing from the two covers' screws under the hood (to both sides of the battery cover).
