I just ordered these for my X5 4.8is. This outstanding price considering the Dimaris tires were
$450 For the rears!! On the BMW the tire size is 315 20" so I thought they were going to be more
than my freaking carrera Michelins!!!
$219 for the rears. Amazing and I can use them in the snow! I couldnt wit the Dimaris

Time for me to change all 4 - my Hankooks are cooked and crazy noisy.
Any reason not to take theses DWS tires given that they are not N rated. Any chance that Porsche will get funny if any warranty (CPO) work is required?
I normally get the dealer to fit my tires but I don't think they are allowed to fit non N spec rubber.

I replaced my Hankooks with The Conti DWS about 10,000 miles ago. I'm very happy with them. They are remarkably quiet.
Spider - why the concerns about switching from Hankooks to Contis - Hankooks aren't N rated either.

Conti DWS sound great but according to Tirerack they are on backorder...2 month availability is optimistic.
Anybody have a 2nd option?
Need 255/55R18s for a CS. Must be all weather.

The DWS tire came right out of the gate extremely popular, and shot straight to number one our list of ultra high performance all season tires. It's been there since. Initial reviews for its wet and snow grip have been very good. So far, noise reviews are holding in there very well too and it will be interesting to see how well they do over time as some of them start to wear down. So far, so good...
Availability has been down right lousy on the majority of good sizes. Right now much of their production capacity is concentrated on making snow tires. I expect it to ease up as soon as they are done.

I also bought a set of these 19" Continental Extreme Contact DWS for my 2004 Cayenne S about 2000 miles ago. I paid $875+ tax incl. everything. I'm very please with them. I've worn out 3 sets of Diamaris before these at around 7500 miles each on an average. The Continentals doesn't show ANY wear after 2K.
I live in CA and can only speak for dry performance. Compared to the Diamaris, these may have slightly more vibrations in the steering wheel and somewhat less grip when making turns. But they are very quiet. At this price level it's a no-brainer unless you're racing with your Cayenne.

One of my neighbors has a Lexus RX350 they bought pre-owned. He hated driving that car (it was his wife's), said it just didn't feel right and was noisier than he thought it should be. He needed new tires and asked me for recommendations and didn't want to spend more than he needed to. I told him top on my list would be the same Yoko Parada Spec X's I have on my Pepper. It took him about 2 mos. but he finally got them. Now he says it's like driving a new car and he loves it. He now drives her car every chance he gets. Now he's bitching about the tires on his car.

Just picked up my second set of Yokohama Parada Spec-X for the turbo.
$156 per w/ a 440 tread wear rating and they work very well in temps below freezing.
They spend a lot of time going from sidewall to sidewall in the summer.
BTW, here's a pic of just part of Tire Rack's inventory. The racks go even farther than that in the other direction. Place is SO huge it is like something out of a sci-fi movie.

I bet that end of the year inventory is a PITA.
