Arrow So where did I see this? different badge on the back of a Cayenne

Someone on here had as their avatar, a picture of the back of a black Cayenne. But instead of the regular Cayenne badge, they had big(er) letters spelling P O R S C H E It looked kinda like they used to on the old 928. I'm guessing they had this done or did it themselves. I really liked the look and would like to know how or where they got the stuff to do it.

I guess whoever ever had that picture changed their avatar. I've looked back through lots of recent post's since I think I saw it as late as yesterday but don't see it anymore. Any ideas? It seems like I also saw something similar on the the new models that are coming out soon(if they haven't already) I just really liked the way it looked and would be interested in doing that to mine.

thanks

Why settle for 'PORSCHE'.
Put whatever you want to back there, it's easy:

They had to add the 'PORSCHE'; otherwise you would think you were following an Audi Q5.

Yep. That's me. I originally de-badged mine, but thought it looked too blank. Decided to try something new. I ordered the lettering online from '928intl.com'. It's the original lettering from 928's. When you're ordering, make sure you get the 3D lettering, as they also make a 2D form which is really just a metallic sticker and looks very cheapo, IMO.

To remove your existing badge, just heat it up with a hair dryer and use some dental floss to cut it off. Good luck.

thanks for the reply... I looked on their site, but I couldn't decide which one I'm seeing on yours. Are your letters "raised"? it looks like it in you avatar. Can you tell me which one's you used to get that look?

thanks

Great idea and it looks retro-sweet!

Keep in mind that that particular 'PORSCHE' font was somewhat modified and shortened in the late 1990's to the current version. The PAG marketing group found that it took up too much room.

FWIW, just thought you'd want to know this.
