Default A loud bang is seldom a good thing

Well,
My new to me 2008 CTT is at the dealer with a very peculiar problem. I was doing an illegal u-turn (which serves me right), and was accelerating after pulling straight when I heard a HUGE bang in the drivetrain.

I pressed the accelerator, and a loud clanging ensued, and no more forward motion. After a very nice officer helped me get the vehicle from the middle of the street, and a subsequent ride in a tow truck to the dealer, it turns out that my Cayenne ate the front left driveshaft.

I'll get pics to post, but from my tech's description, the CV joint broke in half and caused some other peripheral damage. According to the computer, it sent the wrong signal to the drivetrain and acted as if that one wheel was in 4-low. None of the parts needed are in the US, so all are being shipped in from Germany...a week's wait!

Oh well, it's under warranty, just wanted to see if this had happened to anyone else?

I tried replicating with Rental P!g but hesitation was too bad...but the good news is I was blaring this very weird song "U-Turn" while doing it..."burn mother fuc*** burn"...
