Porsche PET parts manual
I see Porsche has a newer vs. of PET over the old one I have, they now go up to the '08 models. PET Parts p/n 000-043-400-05 for $9 at Pelican.
Curious, I know the old vs. I have, when run on a Windows PC, does not run in a window, PET takes the whole PC. Can PET be run on a Mac? I know the other option, the way I used it the most, was to just load the applicable PDF file and use Adobe to view the parts diagrams. Is there another option I should be using?

OK, that one is newer than the one I have but on the Cayenne the last update is 08/2006, which works for me but not the (very rare) '07 and more common '08 models.
Just curious, has anyone run the actual PET application on a Mac?

The key is to be able to set the resolution to 1280 X 1024 and have
the PET 'see' that resolution during initial setup. Tried it on a MacBook
without success.

So you were able to either actually set the display mode to 1280 X 1024,
required by 'Setup', or to select the simulated 1280 X 1024 mode. The simulated
mode was 'whited-out' using my Macbook. Not 'allowing' the PET 'Setup'
to 'see/find' a 1280 X 1024 display mode, which is an issue even when using
an actual Win PC.

I open the PDF files all the time on the Mac but have yet to install the actual PET app on it. It's installed on the PC but I haven't used it in quite a while.

"Are you opening the individual PDF files for the models or are you running the actual PET application?"
No, just trying to install the app as one would on a Win PC, i.e. Using
a virtual machine emulator (wmware) on a Mac where one runs Setup.exe.
Maybe the Apple Bootcamp allows greater flexibility with the hardware.

I was not installing it on the Mac but just looking at the pdf files which worked fine for me. I did install it on my windows computer and it works better for searching but find just looking at the pdf files on the Mac is sufficient .
