Is there an AC power plug in Cayennes? If not standard, is one included with any options and/or is it offered as a dealer installed option?
Thanks,
Tony

Depending on what you need to plug in Duracell makes a fairly small inverter. Probably good for a laptop. I have a larger inverter but it's overkill for what the duracell can do in such a small size. I think they are around $20 too.

I think the new 997's have an ipod plug and power outlet, maybe you can see what they used for it. I thought it's under the armrest.

I actually have the small duracell power inverter. It's pretty great. It has a USB port to power anything that uses that kind of connection and a regular ac plug. I use it EVERYDAY! for my iphone, my laptop and pretty much anything else that needs AC power. not to mention it's very small. about the size of a pack of smokes but only half as thick. I highly recommend it.

I just bought one, not duracell though. It has low volt shut off, but my question would be if it is just plugged in the socket but nothing AC or USB connected to it drawing power/charging off of it does the inverter still drain power?
What I would like to do is just leave it plugged in at one of the sockets below the glove box area ready to use but I don't want it killing the battery.
Thanks

Age does put things into perspective.
At the time, it was a blast being a chance to put your design into production, especially growing up a kid who dreamt of owning a Porsche someday.
Unfortunately, they really pissed of Larry and, well, you know...

I installed a radio shack power inverter in the rear drivers side storage compartment. Door cover fits perfectly when inverter not in use. I drilled 4 holes to run wire ties through, and cut off the leading edge of the shelf (so the inverter would lay flat over the edge of the shelf). I plug it into the 12v cig plug next to the outside of cover. I use the power inverter to charge power tools, my electric scooter, and most importantly run my air compressor pump to fill tires at the track.
