Default Questions from a new Cayenne owner

Hey Everybody -

I just purchased an '09 Cayenne. So far the experience has been great. I love it!

I have a couple of questions (I checked the manual but didn't see any answers):

- Heated steering wheel: Is there a way to manually turn this on/off? There are mornings when it's not on and I wish I could turn this on

- Radio station select buttons on steering wheel: The up/down buttons on the right side of the steering wheel change the radio station. For me it currently does a seek. I'd prefer if it would just cycle through my radio presets. Is there a way to change this behavior?

Thanks!

The steering wheel comes on when temp is below a certain point. Can't remember what the temp is. Radio does not cycle through presets. Just seeks.

I was afraid those would be the answers. Thanks!

Manual should have temp on steering wheel on/off.

I think it's 55 degrees but not sure.

Answering without consulting the book: It comes on at a specific OAT, I thought it was something odd like 47F. It also comes on with seat heat.
IIRC.....

The buttons on the right do a seek unless you hit the "MAN" button on the left, then the buttons on the right do a manual adjustment as opposed to a seek. This isn't what you want, but is another choice to just seek.

In my copy of the manual (I went back to check) it says the following:
Steering Wheel Heating
The steering wheel heating is switched on and off automatically when the ignition is switched on depending on the interior temperature.

On vehicles with manual air conditioning

The steering wheel heating switches itself on when the following criteria are fulfilled at the same time:

1. Low outside temperature
2. Low engine temperature
3. The interior temperature setting in the display of the air conditioning is 10 and more bars.

or at the highest level (all bars) of the interior temerature setting on the display of the air conditioning.

The steering wheel heating switches itself off again after a warming-up phase, or is switched off if one of the criteria is no longer met.
I have the automatic (2 zone) A/C which I figured implied the 1st paragraph which was very cryptic and not very specific (and I was hoping for an undocumented way to get it to turn on anyway). Come to think of it, the manual air conditioning explanation is kinda crytic too

That's what I've thought, but I've never looked at the manual. It's a nice feature on cold days.
