Smile New 2006 Cayenne Turbo Owner

Just pulled a trigger on a 2006 Turbo Cayenne to join my 1998 C2S. Questions for you guys on some mods. I am looking at getting/doing:

Rubber front mats, rear mats and cargo...any ideas?

How the heck do I put my front license plate on, no way do I want to drill holes in the bumper???

Exhaust? Would love to at least replace the square turbo tips with the rounded tips like the Turbo S?

Lowering Module and/or links?

Set of winter wheels/tires...thinking of going with some Victor Equipment Turismo wheels painted Titanium Metallic...19" 275/45 or 40...any other suggestions?

Techart front lip...love the way it looks on these trucks...not sure if I go with sideskirts and rear bumper as well?

Oh and some clear side markers!!

These will keep me busy as well as my wallet lighter!!

Any help on finding vendors...etc for the above would be appreciated!! Thanks!!

Winter wheels/tires I would look at tirerack.com. Have had good luck with them.

Pablo,

Welcome to the Pig Pen. In no particular order, my responses:

I purchased lowering links from:

http://www.adjustableairride.com/order.php

and they have performed flawlessly. You do need to get alignment when the links are installed.

GMP Performance is good for spoilers and other aerokit options. I purchased the SpeedArt SAR front spoiler and love it. I think it looks a bot more sporty than the TechArt version, and it is nearly $1000 less than the TechArt spoiler.

4-piece OEM mat set at Carlson Porsche or Eagle Day for $114 . I have these in my Cayenne, and they wear like iron.

The TechArt Formulas are THE aftermarket Cayenne wheel to have, IMHO.

Don't ruin the aesthetics with a front license plate.

Have fun...

Statman,

Thanks for the response. Would you happen to have a picture of your vehicle with the speedart spoiler? I have Techarts wheels on my 993 and love them also! Thanks!

Congrats-

Rubber/plastic mats - Weathertech makes some great stuff for you.

I'll bet you are out of luck on the license plate thing unless you want something that will look extra-silly or allow the thing to fall off. I know it does stink to have to do that. But if you ever move to a state where they don't have that requirement, you can always fix the holes. It just may not be cheap depending on your method.

Clear side markers are must. In fact, don't even take the thing out on the road until you put them on. I got mine from Suncoast (FL). BTW, search the forum for installation hints. I posted one that saves a lot of aggravation and others have as well.

Winter tires - I will swear by Pirelli Scorpion Ice & Snow all day long.

Congrats on the new purchase and welcome to the pigpen.

I bought my winter floormats from www.eagleday.com also. They fit the interior well, and they use the factory posts to hold them in place. I've been happy with them.

I recently picked-up some 18" Victorequipment Zehn's and Pirelli ATR's from wheel Warehouse. They were the cheapest I could find who could supply both the Victors and the tires with TPMS. To my door total price was $2,500, which included CA tax.

Drill and use standard mount..or perhaps one of the tow hook license plate mounts.

Both have been used/discussed here.

Sunset Imports is currently advertising (in Panorama), OEM 18" witner tires/wheels (with or without TPMS) for $1000 to $1500, which is an excellent price.

Sunset Imports or Suncoast Porsche...the install takes about 30 minutes and has been documented here as well

And on behalf of MadFox, who can't be with us today, please allow me to ask you to STFF...

What I did was just install the factory bracket upside down, which lowers the plate. It withstood car washes etc.
