That is the recommended maximum speed in the owners manual so I ask:
1-At what speed do you tow?
2- what is the weight of your loaded trailer?
3- Which Cayenne model?

50 MPH = lawyer CYA. Stupid 'cause its less than 55 MPH(the max speed when towing in California). You could probably get pulled over for impeding traffic at such a slow speed. Just go to court and show the judge the owners manual.
I tow 62-65 MPH with my boat that weighs 4300#(boat and trailer). No need to go faster. I'll get there when I get there.
I have a CS. Plenty of power! I get 10-12 MPG when towing.

The Goodyear Marathon tires on my Trailex are rated for 65 mph. I pretty much keep it 70 or below for steady state cruising.

I was doing 65-70 over an 11,000 foot mountain in Colorado on my way to Parade with an open Trailex trailer in tow and the Sc on it. No issue, the Cayenne GTS is simple a 911 with muscle

Cayenne manual with 18' open steel trailer (1800lbs) and 2400 lbs track car does fine at 75-80 with anti sway bars. Mileage is usually 14-15mpg on the highway and lower mixed (12-13). Has been no problem. I helped a friend pick up a classic Cougar in Boston and that was fine too and much heavier.

I "try" to drive no more than 5 mph over the speed limit. That's with an '08 S towing a 24 foot Pace enclosed trailer (about 3000#) with a GT3 (about 3200#) inside. On I-85, where the speed limit is 70 mph, I rarely exceed it. But the rig will go above 80, I'm just not comfortable driving it that fast.
Even with electric brakes on the trailer, it takes a long distance to stop.

That seems a tad light. My open trailex with the tire rack and 4 wheels and tires (16" fuchs) weighs right at 1000 lbs put my SC on it and I have about 3600 lbs and you are saying 3700 with an SC and enclosed Trailex. Carl at Trailex had told me the enclosed lowboy trailers were weighing 2000 alone. Somewhere the math is fuzzy. No matter Trailex makes a great trailer and the Cayenne is a fantastic tow and travel vehicle.

Glad to hear that no one pays attention to the nonsense in the Owners Man....it seems unreasonable to drive 50 MPH or less on expressways....I have towed an enclosed with TC and misc. total wt over 7000lb with my CTT at an average highway speed of 70 MPH and had no issues except gas mileage 11.5 MPG premium (ouch).
