Default rear wiper cover-any updates?

I am on my 4-th rear wiper plastic cover and getting tired of replacing it.

Is there any updates by Porsche on this part? where is the best place to get one?
TIA,
Sevak

The dealer here puts a small dab of silicone on the new one. After many car washes, it still stays in place.

Scott,
believe it or not, I used a small amount of crazy glue this last time, and it lasted 6 months. So I should order it thru a dealer?

They are the only ones I know that have it so I think you may be stuck.

The silicone trick works better than crazy glue as it remains soft and will give during use and temp cycles.

I think crazy glue will become brittle and let go after some temp cycling.

I used silicone when I replaced mine nearly 2 years ago, and it hasn't moved.

Washing a Cayenne.
Waste of water IMHO.

You do have a good point, thanks I'll try it.

That makes sense now, I ws looking at it and and playing with my cover thinking if it would be a good place for a reverse camera and it just poped out at me.

The entire switch comes with it. Seems like a waste, but that's the way they package it.

Mine fell off today while I was hand washing the pig (I know Lewis, that was a waste of water and time). I didn't even get a new part, the service manager just glued the broken old one back on with silicone, which was an interesting and cost effective repair strategy. Makes me wonder how many other parts are just glued on.

I did notice that my old beta was missing from their used car lot though. Hmmm, I wonder where it ended up...pig heaven maybe? Russia?
