Rhonda,

A few questions, does the price include the BMC Filters?

As well, the factory HP upgrade also includes suspension, bigger brakes, etc. for the same HP upgrade, is this because these "tweeks" are need to handle the extra HP, or just to make the truck more streetable? (And make more money)

Thanks,

Bob James

Bob,

Thanks for the inquiry. The price does not include the 2 BMC filters, but we can add them at a 10% discount level. The current retail is $ 72.00 so your rennlist price would be $ 64.80. I added the bmc's as I wanted to accurately represent our performance gains and we also highly recommend them.

The Cayenne has such a high center of gravity that one could certainly understand why Porsche recommends these upgrades. As for the cost, that's a tough pill to swallow. I for one would certainly recommend the brake upgrade. Our upgrade adds 67 lb. ft or torque in the mid range. That is a large figure, slowing a heavy vehicle like the cayenne, especially with say...YOUR FAMILY... onboard would certainly make me think about a brake upgrade. Porsche tend's to overbuild their car's / SUV's as we all know but this one hauls alot more weight and is based on a VW platform.

Here is the link to the dyno sheet. http://shop.fvd.de/shop/picture.php?...95510001_2.jpg

The dyno sheet is in NM and PS but they can be easily translated to HP and lb. ft of torque.

Costas,

No need to apologize, I just couldn't make out the Turbo S on the back of your avatar I really hope that wasn't one of your's or a friends..

Here are the figures for the Turbo S:

Max. Power - 383kW (521HP) @ 5500rpm
Max. Torque - 720Nm (531 lbf ft) @ 2750-3750rpm
Max. Speed - 275km/h
Max. RPM - 6500rpm
Acceleration 0-60mph - 5.2s

FVD Level 1 Tuning (Sport Motronic DME exch., Sport Air Filters (2), Sport Exhaust Muffler, Catalytic Bypass Pipes):
Max. Power - 404kW (550HP) @ 5500rpm
Max. Torque - 760Nm (561 lbf ft) @ 4000rpm
Max. Speed - 280km/h
Max. RPM - 6700rpm
Acceleration 0-60mph - 5.0s

Here's a link to the dyno sheet: http://shop.fvd.de/shop/picture.php?...5510001S_2.jpg

Costas, please note that in order to extract this power you must add the exhaust items. Although having said that, the most cost effective items would be the catbypass pipes, the program (under our current sale) and the bmc's. The end muffler does not add very much to the end figures, but the sound is just pure joy!! The Cayene Turbo S is highly tuned from the factory so your best bang for the buck will be with the exhaust (cat bypass), our program will add power but you are talking about a 5-10hp with just the program. The bulk of the HP is gained with the exhaust....

So if you plan to eventually add any of the exhaust pieces, you can't beat the current price on the program...the retail is usually $ 1,995.00

Thanks,
Rhonda

Costas,

Thanks for the comments on the website. When you say that you don't have the torque down low, are you reffering to the starting point of our graph? As you can see on the graph the dotted line and our solid line are exactly the same until around 2,200 rpm's. So the Cayenne Turbo S will be essentially the same as stock until this point, then you will start to feel the torque climb a bit more dramatically than stock.

Hopefully I answered your question?

Thanks!
Rhonda

Costas, The price would be $ 4,000.00 for the full 550 Hp kit. Your DME is sent to FVD Germany and your DME will be sent back programmed. This takes about 5 business days via express service.

Thanks,
Rhonda
