I am close to 60k on my 05, naked and not crispy yet. 60k service soon.

No major problems currently. See post #4 for what was fixed prior. Right now the left turn signal (front) quit again, and the airbag sensor light is on. It annoys the hell out of me. About 1000 miles before every oil change the airbag sensor light comes on.

70k. Other than maintenance items, and the coils ($387 at an indy), no major issues. Naked and free, heading to London to help abolish money.

We negotiated a reduced price on an extended warranty for my husband's used 911 when we did the eal on my new Cayenne. I'm glad we did because it seems like it could very easily and quickly pay for itself within one or two services.

Default Warranty Item

55,000 miles

06 CS, had an issue with the rear spray nozzle on the Taillight for the rear wiper.

I'm under the glorious CPO and so that was replaced under warranty.

I put on 70 miles a day and drive in varied conditions.

The New CPO Program takes me to 100,000 miles or 2 yrs past the original warranty.

Keep waiting for something serious to happen, damn German Engineers!

Why do they build such reliable daily drivers!

I paid $4200 for my extended warranty. It is good for up to 7 years and 100,000 miles. It does require a $200 deductible. Although it is pro rated over the life of the warranty and if i sell the car i get the balance of the $$ back no matter how many times i use it. So far it has paid for itself with a faulty solenoid controller (?) with the AWD system. It took the dealership countless hours and numerous swapped parts to diagnose the problem.

That's a better deal than I got last fall. I bought Easy Care through the dealer. When and where did you buy yours?

I will have to look up the warranty provider and PM you with the info. Did it last August. Not sure if anything has changed since. I got it through a somewhat local dealer. The GM is a friend but I don't think I got any special deals.

Any specifics as to which warranty company to deal with? Thanks!

The company I used was Prizm Administrative Solutions inc,

800-445-4065.

So far it has paid for itself without issue. I would call and ask for a copy of their plans and make your own decision on if they are worth dealing with.

FWIW, I've had discussions with those guys directly. They were very nice, but they referred me back to my local dealer (who also sells the Prizm warranty), because the dealer's price was substantially lower than Prizm's direct price, I assume because of a local non-compete arrangement???? However, both prices were a good bit higher than the $3200 you quote, at least for the maximum coverage. Don't remember the exact numbers right now, as I haven't purchased, yet. Which package did you get?

I finally tripped past 50k miles, but I have been naked for about 6 months. I decided to go naked because I got a re-maned motor before the warranty ran out.

Originally I was sweating the cardian shaft failure, but soon after people started reporting the coolant tube failure. The only thing on my side is that I have a new re-maned motor. I am hoping that my new to me engine has the updated coolant tubes. Hopefully it lasts 40k miles, by then the pig will be gone....maybe....

Well that could be because I typoed on the price. It was $4200 not $3200, Didn't catch the mistake until now. Still worth the price of being covered on a car that could easily be consumed with one major issue.

I am assuming this is closer to what you were quoted?

I have the Supreme or top coverage. Pricing I guess is up to the dealer in your area and I guess it doesn't hurt knowing the GM.

That is closer to what I paid; $4k for Easy Care's Total Care product which covers everything including Nav/electronics. $250 deductible. Term is 3yrs/85K mi. total and it's transferable. I should be through with the car by then.

Yep, IIRC, was quoted about $4200 for an additional 4 years for the top-line coverage. I think he said it would have been a good bit higher if the car had more than 40k miles.
