Default Does a Turbo bumper fit a C?

Whilst vacationing on the Amelfi Coast, I learned firsthand that Cayennes are not meant for the narrow roads and scraped my front bumper.

I'm decided not to use the Euro Delivery insurance due to the high Euro deductible. I'd like to have to replace the front bumper with the CTT/GTS unit and realize the extra expense of the lights required.

That said, the bodyshop at the dealer is telling me the bumpers won't line up (and its still on the boat)! Any truth to that? I saw an earlier post where the last Cayenne was entirely updated to the new look on this message board.

Thanks to all who have knowledge of these parts and who respond!

Oh yeah, I'm officially a newbie to the Cayenne board now that I have one.

I found the thread I was thinking of where they turn a '06 S into an '08 CTT look. It should be easier to go from an '08 to an '08 CTT look no?

So I have the dealer to "maybe." They want to park a Cayenne next to a GTS/Turbo to look at it b/c they cannot tell from the shop manual (?!). The only problem is that it is now the end of the model year. Whereas, a few months ago they had several GTS/Turbos they don't this month.

I'm thinking that the body shop folks are afraid to order a part and have to return it to the distribution center. I've offerred to cover reasonable re-stocking and trial fit (unpainted) costs. In my mind I can't think that the dimensions/mounting would be that different.

Can anyone with knowledge or thoughts chime in?

I was told that is was about $4k for the conversion from a 6 or S to the Turbo front, as it wasn't a simple bolt-on (ductwork that needs to be re-run for one thing).

Thanks BSL,

The dealer hasn't mentioned any numbers at this point. I hope to have some news shortly though as the Cayenne should arrive in the next week or so.

Guys,

I have just doen this.

It is an 'easy' conversion.

You will need new indicator/parker lights and a few new ducts and the like - but it is a simple fit.

Simon.

As a mod, you know better then to talk s#it. This is a helpful thread to anyone who may have been in a MVA and needed to replace a bumper - WHY WOULDN'T YOU upgrade to a better look if it is going to cost nearly the same.

I don’t care about posts from 2008. Best to get the info you need and move on instead of bumping 11 year old threads as if that reply was from this morning.
