Hurricane Region, PCA, will be hosting a DE at CMP (Kershaw, SC) on August 30 and 31. Details may be found at: http://www.trackschedule.com/HurricaneDE.html
This is a great way to drive your car legally "at speed" and learn more about how it handles. If you are in the area, please consider joining us.

Just trying to get the word out to everyone. Think of it as a break from the routine ;-)

Appreciated.
I'm just the forum curmudgeon when it comes to pigs on the track.

Understand; I see you're posting this on all the forums to get the word out on the event. And a few PCA regions do allow Cayennes at track days, but I believe most do not. You might want to clarify whether Hurricane Region will welcome Cayennes at this event, when posting on this particular forum.

Preferrably tipped over on their sides, set ablaze and used to BBQ or make S'Mores at the end of the day?

I believe that's the common practice at the Larry Region of PCA! That group won't even allow them in as tow vehicles!

Hmmn, the Larry Region of the PCA.
Why do I like the sound of that so much.

Cayennes are welcome for our DE events, and we prefer them right side up (too much darn paper work to fill out, otherwise). I will try to avoid oinking so as to remain under Itc's radar

Just out of curiosity, do Cayennes have their own run group?
Are they restricted to lower (green/yellow/blue/white) run groups?

PCA National seems to be somewhat slow in considering a Cayenne only class standard (which AFAIK has never been required for 'cars'...although it will be interesting to see a Panamera at a DE)

I will defer this question to our DE chair, Coco Strayer (coco@trackschedule.com). We usually set up run groups based on driver experience combined with vehicle capabilities to avaoid significant speed discrepancies on the track. Please feel free to contact Coco at her E-mail address. We have not had any Cayennes join us in the past (though they have been welcome), so unless a bunch of you sign up, a Cayenne-only run group is unlikely.

Oh boy, am I glad to see someone besides me poking a stick in the cage on this one. If only I could be back in the Carolinas for that time of the year, I'd love to help inaugurate Cayenne participation in your DEs. In my youth, I put in a lot of track time (and high-speed back-road time) in those parts in vehicles far less track-worthy than my current Cayenne. Us good ole boys from the land of 'shine-runners ain't timid about sharin' asphalt with bored and blown pick-em-up trucks, much less some sportified SUV. Hope you guys have a great event! If you get some Cayennes, please come back and post a picture. The hum of Larry spinning in his grave is always fun to hear.
