But they're in a place where gas flows like water!

Roof racks suck for mileage, based on my experience with other cars. Gas mileage on my pickup truck went down a lot when I threw boards on top, and dropped around 10% with just racks. I can pass almost anything on the road except a gas station, and don't want to contribute more to the oil companies than I already do.

Why don't you just get a set of roof rails to put on? Has to be cheaper than a body shop and it will solve the problem.

I wanted a flush roof. I specifically ordered the car without any racks, rails, etc.

you don't mind the rain dropping on your head then, it does rain there once a year

If not fill it with epoxy and paint

Nice to see that you did sufficient research before buying.

You're concerned with mileage on a Cayenne and upset about roof rail slots.
Personally, I can't see going on living like that, it's just too much to bear.

It's a struggle, but driving a wonderful vehicle like a Cayenne makes it all worthwhile If I wanted the roof rails, I would have wasted the additional $1,200 when I ordered the car

I've resurrected this thread in hope that somebody has good news to solve this problem. My console armrest and it's contents got soaked today while my sunroof was open after a day-long rainshower yesterday.

Does anybody know for a fact if the Touareg strips fit the Cayenne rails?
