Picked up my GTS on Saturday morning. I love this beast other than the fact that the power tailgate doesnt want to open. Anyone else have issues with the power tailgate?
I wish everything in life had a "Sport" button.

I haven't had issues with mine. Sometimes if I have been driving and then I open the driver's door and get out, the tailgate won't open. You have to make sure you unlock the doors. I assume you've tried that...

Yes, I've read the manual, the only way it could be more confusing is if it was written in Chinese.

Have you figured out how to permanently disable the interior motion sensor? Taking my German Shepherd to Home Depot the other day was a real challenge, I could not disable that sensor. Wound up just leaving the Pepper unlocked. Poor dog, she was a lot calmer about the alarm going off than I expected her to be.

If it's like my 997 - you have to hit the lock button on the Key Fob 3 times in quick succession. E.g., Lock, Unlock, Lock. That disables the interior motion sensor. Had the same problem with my 997 - dog was pretty upset with me for leaving her in there with the alarm blaring....

On the Pepper there is a button down the lower "B" pillar (1 of 2 buttons down there) that's supposed to disable the interior sensor but I couldn't get it to work.
Fortunately for my dog's trip to H-D, I parked out far from the front doors and she tripped the alarm before I got inside the store so was able to go back and shut the system off. Tried again, same result. 3rd time I just left the Pepper unlocked.
Now if I had made it inside the store and she had to stay out in the vehicle the entire time while the alarm was going off she most likely would have jumped out of the Pepper and followed me inside the store. (None of my dogs have ever gotten out of the car without being told to)

You can take your dogs inside H-D or Lowes on a leash or in a basket or cart, so that somewhat solves your problem with the alarm.
One of the reasons that I regretted selling my 92 turbo was that the dog could remain locked inside with windows down for short stops, and not set off the alarm.

Can't you disable the interior motion sensor through the menu in the instrument cluster? I haven't tried it... but I thought I recalled seeing an option in there...
