The 05's did not have the sim card available. There was a Telephone Prep Kit - $240 but that was for installing the cradle for your specific phone. I have this option but never did the followup install.

Rather than buying a second line, has anyone tried using one of those cheap temporary phones that you purchase pre-loaded with minutes? I think Virgin and other brands sell them off the shelf at BestBuy etc. I do not know if the SIM card is removeable. Howver, if you do not use the phone in the car it may be a cheaper alternative.

I purchased a AT&T Go Phone, removed the SIM card and inserted in to the PCM slot. With the Go Phone you pay up as you go. It works flawlessly and I'm happy with the set up. If plan on using the car phone a lot, it would be more economical to add another line to your account.
