Oh, it's definitely been a while since anything interesting been happening on in this forum
There's only one way to resolve this: FSCCA, are you on the east coast?

OK. I guess. Still by your enjoyment. If the other party wasn't on it and let you pass him than you technically didn't smoke anything unless it was a joint. I have had my CTT side by side with my friends V10 TDI and I can assure you although fast it is not in the same league as a CTT.
In order to have smoked a CTT you would need to both be at WOT and one obviously out accelerates the other. That is not what your describing here. This is like the guy in the lowered Corolla with big canister exhaust that sits on the tail of my turbo at 80 mph and I move over to the right lane and let him by and he thinks he just dusted a Porsche. In fact I wouldn't even need to down shift and get on boost to leave it miles behind. BTW the TDI also tops out at 150 mph far below the top speed of a CTT. hate to burst your bubble but there is just no way a 7 second second Diesel is going to leave a 5 second Twin turbo 6-8 car lengths behind off the line unless the other party allowed it. Now if you are moving side by side at speed the torque of the TDI would help it to keep up but from experience I know the CTT is still faster.

Your comments suggest the same manhood issues you describe about inflicting on the GTO driver.
Yes, NYC area.

BTW the You tube shows a poor launch on the CTT's part and I am sure PSM was still engaged which will slow the car incredibly.

I own a '94 turbo S (flatnose-delete) and several other real Porsches not built in Leipzig.

Refresh my memory. Where and when did I buy this from you and I don't recall seeing your turbo S flatnose delete which would be a memorable occurrence. You have my interest. Just busting my chops then huh.
It still doesn't make a stock V10 faster than a CTT.

So you can't leave me hanging like this what did I buy from you? Was it the package of assorted parts? You can PM me if you like. I would love to see your package car since your close by I have only seen 3 for sale in the past 7 years and I am sure Mark would love to have info for his web site.

Oh please don't stop now -- It was just getting interesting -- And who the hell cares about MPG otherwise we'd all be in electric cars driving up nuclear power station building

I actually did a little research. I was mistaken on the performance gains which seemed too good. The info I had read was for the W12 engine in error. Of several forums the max gain from 0-60 has been stated repeatedly as .4 seconds so 6.9 instead of 7.3 to 60 mph. Others claim only .2 seconds all say a maximum of 5 mph improvement on top end. The general consensus was a 20 to 30% reduction in fuel economy and I do admit I don't drive my P-cars for their economy. Sadly I admit I don't own an economic car and am guilty of being a gas guzzler.
I still think the V10 is a hell of an SUV and as a tow vehicle it would be outstanding. Although the CTT does a great job itself.

ok can I join? the GTO is not that fast at all ... I backed Anthony on this one.
A lexus ISF will smoke that thing
Plus I dont see the Touareg winning that race on the video posted..
I've test driven a V10tdi , was just curious.. it can only be compared to the new GTS.. no CTT power at all
