Default Cayenne sales double over last years first 6 months

According to Porsche club news letter and Klaus Berning:

The greatest rise in sales was achieved
by the Cayenne series: The sporty offroad
vehicle doubled its sales in the
first six months compared with the
same period last year to more than
20,600 vehicles. This demonstrates
the ongoing interest of customers in
the new Cayenne.

Could be but I like the look of the original turbo better. Although the S is a major improvement.

I may be biased, but I like the 06 titanium package, especially the exhausts which look better to me than the old turbo or new turbo...I just polished those things up

By the way, way off topic, but I used some chrome polish on the stainless strip below the rear tailgate & it cleaned up very nicely- our cayenne hasn't looked this good since we picked her up a year ago!

I have to agree the TI package was also another nice looking Cayenne.

Wonder how much of the increase is due to export sales? While on the search for our CGTS I heard more than a few stories about Cayennes being sold for export. There is a thread on 6speed with the picture below of 4 GTSs still with the factory covers and white plastic sold by a dealer directly to an exporter.

what about more reliability even upgraded by the Consumer Reports magazine to be average now, maybe this forum should get some credit in helping Porsche to fix all previous common problems...and maybe more exposure to more potential regular SUV buyers like my uncle buying a 2008 C @ age 61 just remarried to a 35 yr old bride.

I myself like the more rounded or Frog-like look of the original Cayenne

Chuck coming back to the dark side I see. LOL

A GTS huh, 5 speed?

Yes things are changing and Porsche will reduce it's US production considerably sending more cars to China and Russia. What a sad state we are in.

I remember the white CTT. You were reluctant to sell that one. I understand the tip I prefer it for city traffic myself.

Good Luck
