I think an 05 or 06 Turbo is the better value. $70k will get you a good Turbo. That will get you a so-so 08 S.

I actually went in to purchase an 06 turbo but they wouldn't budge on price. I wasn't interested in the CS because I didn't feel they had enough power. Then I drove the new 08 CS and was sold!

If it's someone you know and has taken good care of it I would go for the Turbo. If not, Maybe the S. At least you know where it has been.

Default Turbo 05/06

Went through the same dilemma six months back and ended up with the 05 Turbo. The other factors that tilted the balance in favor of the turbo were the mileage (only 6k!) , CPO, and a sweet price ($64.7K). The air suspension is a HUGE plus, especially with a baby in the family, and the additional HP does add to the oomph. Had a chance to drive a spankin new 08 CS loaner for a whole day and I must say I am happy with the decision.

That isn't true. I was able to get an 08S with most of the options of a turbo (minus the turbo) plus some other options for less than 70. The new DFI makes a pretty big difference in how the naturally aspirated one drives. I was originally going to get an 06 turbo but the new S is more than enough, especially since this is just my wife's kid hauler.

I also went thru the same process and decided on a CPO 2006 CTT Turbo S with 1045 miles loaded with options. IMHO i think the 06 looks sharper than the 08. Also the Turbo S is a limited Edition.
