The Pepper is gone

Actually, I didn't know there WERE any pre-requisites to posting here. I didn't think you had to be a Cayenne owner, or even play one on television. Personally, I think the "I never-owned-one," "I don't-know-how-they-work," and "I have no idea why your martini tastes funny, Peter" subset of our members deserve at LEAST as much respect as the rest of us.
That's OK, better to be appreciated after you're dead.
Proper Cayenne forum ettiquete is not "fore", but rather....
FORE !

Yea it sucks....I do miss MANY aspects of the Pepper, and I do understand (especially when you buy used) that issues do occur however, in my case I felt as if there were just too many in too short of a time for me
Yea I cannot remember her name, but now she will be able to "fix your struts"

This time the money that I am getting refunded from the old warranty company, the place that sold me my M3 (they deal only in high end cars Lambo, Porsche, BMW, Mercedes, Astin Martin, Ferrari, etc...) said that I can purchase a 3/36 warranty through them (where they do the repair work on site) for the amount that I paid for the old warranty so thats the route I am going with the M3.

Errr....well....you know what I am saying
Hey btw I faxed off my "Request to have my extended warranty contract canceled and refunded" from MBA Direct. All I simply did was type up a general memorandum stating that I purchased another car and that the dealer was not interested in the warranty on the Porsche. So I faxed it and Ed got back to me the next day asking me for my odometer readout (which I then faxed back to him).
So I should be expecting my refund within 4 weeks.
So as you know (from my pretty lengthy PM's to you) why I chose to do as I did. Hopefully you have enough info as to whether stay with those guys or not. Who would have known that 3 months after me having purchased my extended warranty on the Cayenne that the underwriter would go belly up?

Just messin with you...
Let me know how the refund goes - if they refund it with no issues I will see no real problem with them.
I have decided to take the risk and hope they pull through for me in the event of a failure...technically losing the underwriter is not a big deal as long as MBA holds up their end BUT we will see.
I will be sure to send a pm or email when/if (lol) I get my first claim...
Take care...

And whats a trip is that I read that entire thread about the FX/Droptop/FX/Droptop....and never posted once
But I will say that one....I DID consider, and even test drove a 2006 FX45, as I was debating between the FX45...being that I owned a G35 Coupe I was familiar with, and had no problems with the Infiniti brand, but it was the FX45, RR HSE, or Cayenne. The FX45 WITHOUT A DOUBT offered more "bells and whistles" for the buck. Especially since the one I test drove (and would have bought had I not gotten the Cayenne) was the Burnt Orange exterior with like a Root Beer leather interior. WOW! Talk about a SWEET *** color combo!! I loved it, but the wife could not stand it. In fact she hated it....but thats another story.
But it had the "Technology Package" with a bunch of other stuff like "lane departure warning", "Laser Guided Cruise Control" or some ****. It was pretty sweet. But I did not like the rear of the FX. EVERYTHING else had it going on except for the rear...oh and the handling and the power which my Cayenne S would have SMOKED!! So....you can keep your blue tooth (which my now M3 has....but the freaking dealer still owes me a manual...so I don't know how to program it yet,,,because I cannot )
But I TOTALLY plan on buying another Cayenne, and I am talking within the next year to a year and a half. It will just be a 2006 or newer (I know that the 2005's are supposed to be okay....but I am not taking any chances this next time around )

of course, it doesn't have PHC, so you can say.."PHC Unavailable"

Jason - I had a M3 cab like yours and would tell you not to waste the money on the warranty. They are strong cars just ensure that any of the TSB's were completed and you should be good to go. The only chit that will break is the common stuff that likely won't be covered by any warranty and anything else that does will have to add up to greater than $2k+. It's just not likely as I never had any issues with mine. Just my $.02 to save you some $$$.

Nexus 6,
Have fun with the M3, they are nice!
I would probably scoot along to bimmerforums and see what their deal is on the 03 + M3's I think most if not all issues were resolved by then.
Fun cars to drive otherwise.

Good luck with the M3! They are neat cars. The only major issue is that the engines had the massive failure issues related to defective rod bearings (November '01 builds through March '02 builds, primarily, though some in later '02 and even '03 years). The good news is that BMW slapped a big warranty of 10 years, 100K miles on the motors and drivetrains that had the bearing work (a TSB, NOT a recall). Your car likely had the work...all owners got the letters.
