New owner ... '04 CTT RUF 550 (Dakara)
It's been a long 12+ months, searching across the country, eBay, AutoTrader and even Craig's List, and finally came across the Cayenne that I longed for ... a 2004 Cayenne Turbo (Artic Silver / Black) with a RUF 550 conversion including RUF wheels. I'm the second owner, so this CTT may be known here at Rennlist.
I'll post pics soon ... work is all-consuming at the moment, so in a couple of days/week I'll post.

The RUF exhaust note is amazing ... it truly sounds like a V8 '60s Muscle Car. RUF claims that the 550 HP conversion will do 0-62 MPH in 5.0 seconds. I have an old G-Tech that I'll bring out and see what she'll do.

Thanks everyone ... I appreciate ALL the comments, even the joyful sarcasm. Since I am a rookie when it comes to the Cayenne, I ask for forgiveness now if I ask a stupid (e.g. duh) question ... I will use the "search" function before I ask any Qs.

This looks like it could be the one that I drove at their shop a couple of years ago before I ordered my Cayenne, but I'm guessing that the arctic silver is a popular color for their conversions. The Ruf folks are very nice and their shop is incredible. If you are a 993 fan, it's hard to hold onto your bank account after a glance at the vehicles in their shop.
Enjoy your ride.
