I just heard from Larry again.....

He said it would be a much better shot if it were more like the Titanic......nose down, sinking.......

You need that air suspension to do that. Anybody know what the maximum fording depth is for the Cayenne? Getting water in the breather could really ruin one's day.

Thanks for the comments all.

The water and incline photos were taken on a Cayenne 4WD training day as a specifically designed 4WD training Centre. It was organised with the Porsche Club of Melbourne. Here is a link to some photos, video and an Article of the day. Great Fun.

These beasts are just fantastic off road.

The gradient is 60% or 30 degrees and my goodness its steep the first time. Coming down the hill you are convinced that you will bury the nose into the flat ground at the bottom, but it misses by cm.

The fording depth a Cayenne is 550mm, but i have been up to the door handles - its OK if you keep your speed constant and a good bow wave in front of you.

Bottom of the hill...

To the left of this ramp are a range of other slopes of varying surfaces and inclines to play on...

One of them is quite tricky...

We also targeted a few bush tracks - these were fun on road tyres...

Welcome to the forum!
That's a handsome beast you've got there.
You should do a stand alone 'Hi there...first post' kind of post as well to introduce yourself and your passion.

Wow.

These last 2 pages have been among the best on the forum.

Those off-road shots from Australia are brochure or at the very least Christophorus worthy!
