Wow - 45 horse increase in Cayenne S...
Not a fan of the new styling but 45 horses over my Cayenne S has got my attention.
My S has pleanty of "wow" now - 45 more and I'm sure to be getting tickets...
Great job on the increase in power Porsche - as for the exterior styling in my opinion you should have stayed with the orignal or come up with somehthing better...

Except the only thing coming for the time being from what I read over at audiworld is the 3.0 V6 TDI- can't see why they don't put the V10 in the Q7- are you listening audi????

Oh Yes, more performance, less consumption!
Wish I could trade my wife's Axiom for one of those!
Here's a link to some press release.

I think VWOA has fought many battles to keep Diesels in the North American Market. The new PD engines are very clean, but still not 50 state compliant. VWoA released a few hundred 06 V10 TDI's that went to all states.
I can't wait for the 3.0 TDI to be available in the Touareg. I love my V10, but will be ready for another by the time it makes it to our market. Supposed to be V8 like performance with close to 30MPG HWY. I will keep the V10 because it is such a low production car, until 10K before the 100K warranty goes away. I may even keep it past 100K if it continues to be reliable. Keep extra fuel filters on hand at all times.

too bad Porsche does not put a diesel in their Cayenne, then you would have the best of both worlds, service and the diesel. i sold my Treg after the 3rd service visit to VW. what a joke. plus the thing dropped in value so quick it was like a ton of falling bricks. great car, sh!tty service, sh!tty resale value. my 2 cents.

Modern Porsche values glide about as well as the Space Shuttle....makes falling bricks look aerodynamic.

Assuming there is no change in engine displacement I wonder how hard it would be to port over the changes that make the extra 45Hp to a pre-'08 Cayenne S.
Engine computer change, new exhaust, new intakes, new cams. The list could go on and on.
Heck if we can come up with a parts list it could be the S version of the powerkit.
Anyone care to speculate just for the fun of discussing it here?
