GT3 seats on Cayenne Turbo
Can I fit GT3 seats on the Cayenne Turbo? Any idea how I can make the truck lighter? Can I put roll bar in a Cayenne Turbo? Thank you very much for your help.

I remember seeing this link awhile ago; might be a start. Rollbar/cage would have to be custom-fabricated, but that's not a huge deal. And I'm sure someone could fab up mounts for GT3 seats and sliders.

Thanks a lot for your help. I recall seeing that picture in Porsche Leipzig track. But did not get a clear shot of the interior. Do you know who does this kind of mod in U.S.?

Just an educated guess, but I'd think any cage fabricator could build something up for you exactly to your specs (i.e. wall thickness, mounting points, harness provisions, etc.). Where are you located? Check the Racing/DE board for cage fabricators near you. I only have experience with Kirk Racing in Alabama - had their rollbar in my E46 M3 - and they do very good work.
For the seat mounting points, it's a matter of figuring out the dimensions and handing that off to a metal fab shop to do the work. For example, VAC motorsports builds BMW seat mount rails, and they could probably do a custom set for your Cayenne.
And just to clarify, this is a hugely nutty idea. I support you 100%.

Would I have problem with my view knowing the GT3 seats are lower than stock Cayenne Turbo seats? I wonder if B&K would make a mounting kit for GT3 seats in the Cayenne Turbo and also whether DAS sports bar would make a roll bar for the truck. Also I wonder when will we be able to order the new GT3 seats (Carrera GT seats) aftermarket? Does anyone know how much? I don't think I will have problem with airbag as my truck is an 2004 so there's no front airbag deactivation option. Any problem you guys are seeing? Thanks for your input.

its all a matter of how light you want to be I could easily strip 800lbs out of a cayenne if it was going to be track only.
what are your goals for the truck and what do you plan to do with it
as far as the seat mounts and the roll cage that wouldnt be to hard to come up with dragracers and road racers have had cages put in anything from 43 fords to turbo minivans and race shop should have no problem putting in a cage for you.
