So I have been doing some research and I can get a Cayenne turbo 20k cheaper in the states than in Europe. Crazy eh? Partly because we get shafted in Europe but also because the USD is down in the toilet. On the European sites there are many, many Cayennes for sale in " Chicargo, NY etc".
Anyone imported to Europe and what were the:
A) Transpotation costs
B) Conversion costs for EU roads
C) VAT

Here you go-
http://www.mac.doc.gov/eebic/usedcar.htm
I plan to send a car to the Slovak Republic next year for personal use as I hate to rent a car in Europe and they prohibit the nicer rental cars into Eastern Europe.
For some odd reason most of the used cars I've seen over in Europe with lower mileage look beat up.
The only thing I would worry about is the VAT. Depending on how the car is registered look at a 10% to 40%+ VAT.
Shipping can be done with a huge POD or carrier from $1000 to $2500.
I assume you want to send it to the Czech Rupublic?
Good luck, I'll let you know more info on Monday as I will be giving the agency in Slovakia a call to get some more general information.
I know a few people here that send cars over to Europe to sell or for personal use for good.

Thanks Vino, good to see you are coming over to our neck of the woods. VAT is 19% in CZ. I think if you own the vehicle 6 months prior to coming to europe you can avoid the VAT too. That would be a real steal comparing the prices in Europe and the US.
