Thumbs up Tequipment Option - Thicker Padded Leather Steering Wheel FYI

JIK anyone was interested in Tequipment's thicker padded steering wheel in leather - with heated option (955-044-400-01-5Z3), It just arrived at my doorstep today and I really Luv it! It is slightly bigger than the stock one and is much more comfortable for the grip. If I am not mistaken, it will be the leather wheel that will come with the Turbo S standard. The Turbo S's that I have seen have all had combo leather and wood wheels without heat so I cannot verify.

Nice added option to have on any Cayenne though!

Have not installed it yet. (It is about 10mm-12mm wider than stock from outer edge to outer edge and is about 10mm thicker in grip circumference) On the "to do list"!
April 19th - GIAC tuning
April 21st - Steering wheel, Smoked tail lights, Brake fluid flush, new plugs, coils pulled and checked, new lower rear plastic valance, air intakes put on, check alignment, check break pads with possible change, and possibly a catback sport muffler too.
Bypass pipes on and new diverter valves in already.
I will post a few new pics on that site once all is completed.

The new wheel is actually LARGER in diameter than the stock wheel? I like the idea that the rim is thicker (thin wheel is one of the things I dislike about the Cay). I was thinking about this upgrade, but if the thicker wheel is actually larger around, too, I think I will pass...

10mm diameter not radius - so split 5 on each side is such a negligible difference visually and physically (plus I like when the wheel grazes my groin, that is why I make so many U-turns .

I didn't want a "monster truck" steering wheel either and this is surely not the case!

What setup did you go with (wheel/tire)?

I should have dynoed the car before any changes. Never thought to because Alex911s kindly demonstrated the appreciable gains on his beast.

Here is a picture of the thicker wheel on Suncoast website, but order from Sunset it is much cheaper. I think I had put the new thicker one on my old thinner one, and they had the same diameter.

Do you have a picture of Kooser's exhaust, by any chance?

I honestly miss the dude......

but three years later, is it safe to assume that his wife pulled a "Mrs. Tiger Woods" and beat him with that exhaust? To death! This is the only explanation to his abrupt departure from RL that I could think of

I'm guessing that his wife made that purchasing decision...
