Can someone tell me if the text is supposed to show up when listening to a CD (either on the dash display or the PCM)? If so there must only be certain types of programs that support this function so that it would show up (musicmatch, windows media player, etc.). I remember seeing a similar post stating that iTunes does not support the text. Anyone know?

As a side note, I can see text when listening to the radio, so it must be "turned on".

The CD must be cd text or you must burn it using a program that can write cd text - itunes does not (or didn't a couple months ago). Text only on the radio display, not in the instrument panel.

Nero CD burner does this. Its an excellent program.

Thanks guys. I tired Real Player because it specifically says it will ad text. It works great. However, on the display in the Cayenne if the text is too long it looks like this:
Metallica
For whom the bel....

If the text is too long for some reason it puts in "..." Odd. Then again I remind myself of what we are dealing with. Ha~
