do you need a special jack?
As many of you are aware, I have been hunting for a CS for a long time. It just occured to me that my standard floor jack might not work on something that sits so high off of the ground, let alone the fact that it weighs over 2x of anything I currently own. Do I need to get a special jack so I can change wheels and do brake jobs? How does the PASM effect lifting up the truck?
Thanks again,
Thanks again,

I change my wheels three or four times a year. I use a regular "full size" floor jack and it works fine. I would avoid those inexpensive dinky floor jacks from Walmart. But you don't need anything our of the ordinary. Mine is pretty generic - I got it at Sears.

If you don't disengage the air suspension the vehicle will still "self-level" ....this happened to me once and it actually leveled itself out while having one wheel jacked up LOLOL

Please never use a jack without a jack stand. A jack may have a rapid failure, causing the vehicle to come crashing down.
Any work should always have safety as the first concern.
This topic shows how to lift and use jack stands.

The front inboard is a large ~4" disc with a bolt in the middle and the outboard is rectangular pad with a hole in the center, as shown in this post.
The rear inboard is also a large disc / bolt and the outboard is a rectangular pocket.
What jacking location gets the round peg?
What locations get the jack stands?

I used to use the round peg that slips into the side on my 911 for a jacking point. I am not aware of this slot being on the truck.
