Default Anbody replace their CTT exhaust system?

Just curious if anyone has replaced the exhaust system (Rinspeed) or are most folks just going with the cat bypass pipes?

thanks,
james

Just the rear cat bypass pipes for me. I've seen a few cool looking systems but probably won't bother. The only one I thought was really trick was one out of Japan and made entirely out of Ti. Probably saved about 50 LBS.

Talked to someone the other day who had replaced the system with the factory Turbo S exhaust and ECU upgrade. I believe he claimed it was about $2500 for everything is factory waranteed and gives turbo S power.

cobalt-that would certainly be cheaper than the $20K upcharge from a normal CT!

Was this done by a dealer? I can't believe they would flash the ecu and replace the exhaust for so little $$$. I would think the exhaust cost at least $2000.

I am looking into it myself. The gentleman I spoke to said the exhaust was about $2k and the ECU was about $500 + additional for the turbo S filters. He had it done by an independent although he claims it is the same package offered by the dealership. I don't know if that included everything or if it was just materials & software charge. If labor was not included I would guess another $1k on top. When I find out more I will let you know.

Don't forget this would be using the stock IC's which may or may not be an issue and you don't get the bigger brakes and 20" technos.

He did say it gets a bit squirrely under WOT. This may be a bit too much power for the stock brakes.
